Revelation of the Daleks will be the next Doctor Who DVD release, currently scheduled for July.
Revelation is a fairly good story staring Colin Baker as the Sixth Doctor accompanied by Nicola Bryant as Peri. Guest stars include Eleanor Bron, Clive Swift and Alexei Sayle.
Tranquil Repose is a place where rich people near to death from incurable illness's go into suspended animaton until a time that a cure can be found. The plot surrounds the evil Davros creating a new breed of Dalek from the bodies stored at Tranquil Repose. There are strong (though rather camp) performances all round. Alexei Sayle is slightly more subdued than one might expect, which is a shame as I'm sure Jerzy Balowski would have got on really well with the Daleks ;D
The new DVD release is to feature improved CGI special effects. Such options were well done in previous DVD releases such as 'Ark in Space' so I look forward to the new and improved presentation of this story.
