Keeping to the future Movie/TV rumour theme;
Doom - A sci-fi monster movie with Karl Urban and possibly The Rock. The Rock is also set to appear in Spy Hunter and Johnny Bravo.
Here's a biggie, Sin City, based on the comics by Frank Miller, is currently in post-production. It stars Jessica Alba, Elijah Wood, Bruce Willis with appearances by Mickey Rouke, Michael Madsen and Rutger Hauer.
Rutger Hauer is also filming a fantasy film called Minotaur.
And I have to mention Doctor Who. Along with Christopher Eccleston and Billie Piper some of the more recognisable names to star include Simon Pegg (Shaun of the Dead), Pepelope Wilton, Simon Callow, Zoe Wanamaker (My Family) and Richard Wilson (One foot in the grave). Nicholas Briggs who has a long association with Dr Who, including many appearances in the Big Finish audios has been cast as the voices of the Daleks.
As for updates on Red Dwarf: The Movie - there's Smeg all!

Kevin (Silent Bob) Smith is currently working on the remake of The Green Hornet, orginally famous for launching the TV & film career of martial arts expert Bruce Lee. Not much information to date with the only cast member announced being none other than Jason (Jay) Mewes. Could it be a cameo for Blutman & Chronic? Snoochie Boochies

There is rumour that none other than Quentin Tarantino is considering writing and directing a new Friday the 13th movie
I'd be interested on seeing how he handles such a classic villain as Jason.

This a movie that should NOT be made, but is, a re-make of The Hitcher. WHY?!! The Rutger Hauer original is a fantastic thriller that easily stands the tests of time and should be left alone. Hollywood bloody Hollywood. Here's a a word they haven't heard of: Originality!
