Episode 1: Partners in CrimeDoctor Who is back! Yay!!! And so is... Donna. Catherine Tate is causing a lot of fuss, you either like her comedy or you don't. Personally I do. but don't let her comedy distract from the superb actress that she is. Anyway, Partners in Crime. So well put together with The Doctor & Donna investigating the smae problem but somehow they keep missing each other. And a nice touch that the monsters this time were not really monsters at all. CGI could have been a bit better on the Adipose, but that's a minor gripe considering I'm a fan of Lexx and it's dodgy CGI. I hope the keep The Doctor & Donna's relationship platonic, there's been too much lovin' in the TARDIS as of late. Great to see Bernard Cribbins once more. A few plot spoilers in there too I believe? The line about all the bees going missing? And what about the Adipose, could they even be bred to be the new Sontarans? I doubt it, but you newer know, I mean I never expect to see Daleks fighting Cybermen or rose to return so anything is possible. And... ROSE! OMG!!! When her music hit my heart just wouldn't stop racing! Great start to the new series but I'm going to be mean with my marking. 7 out of 10

Episode 2: Fires of PompeiiGreat episode! If the rest of series 4 is up to this standard it's going to be a cracker! It took me a while to accept the modern speach pattern, but that was actually a nice twist. I whispered 'Asterix' to my g/f while watching, and laughed out loud when Phil & Russell mentioned Asterix in Confidential. Some not so subtle, yet amusing, gags in quite a sombre episode. And surely any Donna doubters must rethink after this? Catherin Tate is, as I always thoguht she would be, a fantastic addition to the Doctor Who cast. Well done to the BBC for getting such a talented actress into the greatest show on TV. 8/10

Episode 3: Planet of the OodSolid episode, really enjoyed it. In fact I can't really think of anything to fault it. Action, drama and humour - exactly what makes a great Doctor Who story. 7/10

Episode 4: The Sontaran StratagemAnother great episode with the return of the classic villain Mr. Potato Head. I thought Donna was slightly pushed a side at times, which is a shame because her character is developing well, super-temp! Chris Ryan was superb as the Sontaran leader and so good to see UNIT properly back in Doctor Who. The drama of the final scene was slightly drawn out - was anyone else just screaming, "chuck a brink through the window!" I don't want Bernards character to die. Oh, an just one tiny, tiny gripe... it's not a Jeep... it's a LAND ROVER! 7/10 LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER LAND ROVER

Episode 5: The Poison Sky
Not the best episode ever, but very good. And a very good episode for the fans. The clip of Rose, refer to the Brig, "Are you my Mummy?", mention of the Rutans. The Sontarans have made a triumphant return these last two weeks, better than the Cybermen.
Can I nominate Bernard Cribbins as Wilf as the best supporting actor ever on Doctor Who. He is truely magnificent.
And I was hyperventalating at next week trailer!
Very Good, 7/10.

Episode 6: The Doctor's DaughterWhat a totally fantastic episode, best of the series so far, or at least up there with Fires of Pompeii. This was not so much about the story but was all about character interation. Loved it, and so glad Jenny survived. Can anyone say spinoff... Very Good 8/10

Episode 7: The Unicorn and the Wasp
What a charmingly wonderful episode. Gareth Roberts has delivered yet again with an amusingly cliched story. Beautifully directed yet again by Graeme Harper, and a wonderful guest cast. So great to see Christopher Benjamin in Doctor Who again, and delivering a stirling performance. Felicity Kendall was as wonderful as she always is, and Fenella Woolgar superb as Agatha Christie. Great story.
7/10

Episodes 8 & 9: Silence in the Library & Forest of the Dead
8/10 for both parts of this story.
I did really enjoy it, possibly the first part more so. But the confusing mysterious nature of the story left me feeling kind of 'left out' if you know what I mean? I felt like there was this big secret and I was the only one who didn't know what it was, making it frustrating yet brilliant to watch.

Episode 10: Midnight
What a great episode. I loved it. The Doctor minus companion is a rare thing but Tennat was more than up to the challenge. Trapped in a crashed spaceship with an alien playing the passengers fears against one another was so well performed by all the guest cast. And great to see David Troughton in there.
And next week Rose returns!
Overall 8/10

Episode 11: Turn Left
What a superb episode, and proving again that The Doctor does not have to be the central figure to the story. We know Catherine Tate can hold her own, she has her own TV show, but now she's shown she can do it in Doctor Who as well. I loved the Time Beetle thing too which was very similar to the critters from Planet of the Spiders, or were they meant to be one and the same? It doesn't matter, because I just enjoyed this episode very much and cannot wait until next week.
Excellent 9/10

Episode 12: Stolen EarthOh yes! Now THAT was a good episode. Torchwood, Sarah-Jane, Martha, Rose, Daleks, Davros, Bernard Cribbins... oh yeah and The Doctor & Donna. Drama and comedy, action and suspense and that was just Cribbins. And I wasn't upset to see Davros, like I thought I would be, he was excellent. And I so loved the mad giggling singing Dalek Kahn. But to end it on THAT cliff-hanger... OMG! 10/10

Episode 13: Journey's EndNow was that brilliant or what?!! Totally fantastic episode. I don't know what or who was best. Davros was the best he's ever been. Catherine Tate was superb as Donna, losing her memories was so sad and reminiscent of Zoe and Jamie. Two Tennants, my girlfriend was happy with that. Jack. Martha. Micky. Jackie. Sarah-Jane. K-9. And Cribbins steals the show... again. Certainly a great end to a great season of Doctor Who. Can't wait for the DVD box set. 10 out of 10 Fantastic!
